Local Coffee Company Raises Funds for Individuals With Disabilities

Black and Brass Coffee Roasting Company are known for roasting up custom blends for clients around Pennsylvania and beyond. That’s just what they did for an annual charity campaign benefitting individuals with disabilities. Black and Brass Coffee Roasting Company partnered with WNEP’s Ryan Leckey and Amy Neugebauer, a multi-year member of the marathon and fundraising team, to develop and distribute a custom coffee blend.

The exclusive Ryan’s Roast blended for WNEP’s Team Allied Services 12 sold throughout the summer and fall of 2021 with a portion of the proceeds going helping to raise $1,000. The funds will benefit patients and residents at Allied Services, a non-profit health system that serves more than 5,000 individuals each day in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. Over the last 12 years, the charity campaign has enabled Allied Services to invest in rehab technology and services that improve the quality of life for people living with chronic illness, recovering from a life-changing injury, or living with a disability.

Black and Brass Coffee Roasting Company was founded in 2016 by Travis Rivera. The company currently has multiple 3 locations in Honesdale and Waymart, serving 25 roasts. A new location in Hamlin is set to open in December.
