Representatives from the Pittston City St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee recently presented Allied Services with a $1,000 donation. The funds were raised through an annual race, the Leprechaun Loop, hosted by the committee on the morning of the city’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
The donation will benefit Allied Services’ John P. Moses Esq. Pediatric Rehab Centers in partnership with AllOne Foundation & Charities. The recently re-dedicated facilities serve more than 1,200 children in the Wyoming Valley each year, providing comprehensive rehabilitation services for children with disabilities, life-changing injuries, and chronic illnesses.
"We're happy to once again make this donation to Allied Services for the benefit of the individuals and communities they serve," commented committee member Sarah Donahue.
Planning for the 9th Annual Leprechaun Loop is well underway. The 2024 Leprechaun Loop is scheduled for Saturday, March 2nd, in downtown Pittston. The event features a 5k run and a 1-mile walk with age category and costume prizes.
