Scanlon, Howley & Doherty, PC, a long-time supporter of Allied Services, has made a significant contribution of $15,000 to Team Allied Services as part of their charity campaign to sustain specialized pediatric programs at the John P. Moses, Esq. Pediatric Rehab Centers. This is the first year the law firm has served as a major sponsor of the campaign, furthering its commitment to supporting children with disabilities.

Scanlon, Howley & Doherty, PC, has partnered with Allied Services for decades, championing initiatives such as the vocational training program for adults with disabilities. Now, they are expanding their support to include critical pediatric services, ensuring that children with complex disabilities and chronic conditions continue to receive life-changing care.

The $15,000 donation will directly benefit the Allied Services John P. Moses Pediatric Rehab Centers, which offer cutting-edge physical, occupational, and speech therapy to children with various conditions. This contribution is significant as Allied Services navigates rising healthcare costs and the challenges of providing affordable, high-quality care to underserved children.

“We are proud to stand alongside Allied Services in their mission to provide exceptional care to children and adults with disabilities. Our firm has a long-standing relationship with this incredible organization, and we are excited to take our support to the next level as a major sponsor,” said Attorney James A. Doherty, Jr, from Scanlon, Howley & Doherty, PC.

Kariann Abbate, MD, a Scranton native now practicing medicine in Princeton, NJ, was also present at the check presentation, accompanied by her children. Dr. Abbate, who ran the 2023 New York City Marathon with Team Allied Services, is returning this year to run again, raising funds for Allied Services. “This cause is so close to my heart, and I’m proud to be part of such an important campaign that helps kids in our community,” said Dr. Abbate.

Team Allied Services is currently training for the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon, with 68 runners dedicated to raising funds for pediatric rehabilitation at Allied Services. Donations from community partners like Scanlon, Howley & Doherty, PC, play a critical role in sustaining these essential programs.
