Recovering from an injury can be a lengthy process. Severe injuries can leave you totally or partially immobilized. It is important to make a full recovery before resuming life as normal. The most efficient and effective recovery process, for most patients, is injury rehabilitation.
Injury rehabilitation at Allied Services Integrated Health System can take many forms. Each program is customized to meet the unique needs of a patient. Rehabilitation may consist of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and more.
Our injury rehab programs include:
Before beginning injury rehabilitation, patients will need to complete the acute care phase of their recovery. Acute care is short-term medical care designed to address the most pressing aspects of an injury. If injury rehabilitation is required, patients are normally provided with a referral during this phase.
It is important to have an injury addressed as soon as possible. The earlier a patient begins their recovery, the easier it will be for their body to go through the healing process.
Injury recovery often involves the following steps:
The goal of injury rehabilitation is to both help the body recover and prevent future injuries. Rehabilitation therapists understand that patients are eager to resume their normal lives and activities. This is why programs are designed to heal injuries as quickly as possible without cutting corners on full recovery.
